About me

Already during my university studies I asked myself how a church can have an impact on the city and community around it. It was a pivotal moment after the fall of Communism when many new doors opened for the church to share the gospel and serve the community. In Bratislava at that time, a movement and collaboration of several church leaders was set into motion, which later brought to life the Christians in the City platform. Working together and developing relationships between leaders and pastors touched me deeply, and became my core values.
As a pastor in the church, I went through a number of painful changes, and had to humble myself. Today, I very much appreciate that I have always had people around me who helped me through these difficult times, inspire me and encourage me to go on.
As I look back, I realize that, all along, I have always been a part of a nation-wide team of some sort together with leaders from different churches, and that we were very much in the business of helping church leaders, congregations and their leadership teams.
- In the church planting movement, we encouraged leaders with a vision to plant churches in Slovakia. Around 200 people took part in our trainings.
- On the team around Natural Church Development (NCD) survey, we held two conferences for church pastors, translated several books and materials, and, as coaches, sought to help analyse results of this survey with leaders in individual church congregations. In 2018, in the Baptist Union, we decided to use this tool for all larger congregations that wanted to map their situations and needs. I had the opportunity to compare and summarize the results for seven different Baptist church congregations.
- At that time, Zoltán Mátyus, a psychotherapist, developed a questionnaire for Baptist pastors to map our resources, ministry and spirituality. What he found was extremely surprising for me.
- As another strong inspiration, the church renewal concept called The Way of Renewal was first introduced to us by Tomáš Grulich from a Brethren church in Prague in May 2018. It literally started the story of our Journey of Renewal in Slovakia. Over time, as we learned more about this concept at various conferences and trainings, we formed a team and later a separate Renewal Division. We reached out with an offer that was accepted by three congregations whom we accompanied as coaches in their two-year journey.
- In the summer of 2023, I took 3 months of sabbatical for my own spiritual renewal. As I prayed what to do next in my ministry, I began to understand that God focuses my heart and attention on the clergy and leadership teams in our church congregations and their renewal. A vision started to grow inside me.
- Since 2018, in partnership with the Timothy worship band and the team around Timothy Worship Centre we have been visiting cities all around the country to encourage local leaders to collaborate, make friendships, and serve their city. This project, Transformation Tour, visited about 24 cities, some twice or even three times. I was able to meet and get to know other pastors in our country, learn about their successes and struggles they face. It moved me profoundly and, over time, I was feeling a burden for them and a desire to seek ways how to help them.
My values
Cooperation
I believe that we are called by God to work together because we are so different and we need to help each other and, as church, become a help in the very many challenges people face in our time.
Friendship
Bible says that friendship is precious and powerful. I believe that friendships can help us go beyond our differences and see through the tactics of our enemy to divide and isolate us.
Fatherhood
God is the Father and, as Bible sees it, being a father is a measure of maturity in spiritual growth. There is a time when we are children, then young men and later, fathers. For me, fatherhood means taking responsibility for others and commit myself to seek their good.
Love
Bible says that, without love, our efforts are meaningless. We are loved by God beyond any measure and, at the same time, we are called to love and grow in God's love. Love is the source and an essential ingredient in the fruit of the Spirit.
Respect
My desire is for us to represent and cultivate the culture of God's kingdom among us. Respect is one of the key values in the culture of heaven. How different Slovakia could be if we, as pastors and church leaders, would have more respect for each other!
My "Why"

My passion is to encourage and inspire individuals, teams and communities by helping them see their gifting, qualities and contribution they bring to others in the context of a potential change of our entire society.
